Many years ago, a boy named Roneatek was born to a mighty man known as Sir Gyrlon of Suphah. His wife's name was Cyprus, and together they ruled the small town of Suphah. Tragedy soon struck, however, and war was born. The account of this war is well recorded and was soon to be known as The war of The Elders. The Nurith, fierce enemies of all Macereans, killed Cyprus and kidnapped Agate, Gyrlon's daughter. This sent Sir Gyrlon into a rage, and in an epic stand that thwarted the Nurith for 20 years and sent them scurrying back into the land of Pintheo, Sir Gyrlon was slain. Rone was the new leader of Suphah, and he had learned well from his father. He was a kind ruler and Suphah prospered much. 20 years after the War of The Elders, trouble was brewing again. The wind from the east carried news of another Nurith raid. Safety was now uncertain, and Rone did not know what to do to protect Suphah from the inevitable attack. Soon after the news reached his ear, he began having strange dreams, or visions, if you will. A silver haired man fell from the sky, and treaded upon the land. The man looked familiar, yet Rone could not place his face. These dreams visited him many a night, and every time he awoke with these words in his mind: "Rone, Rone, it is time that you knew my Name, Rone" but it was not the voice of the man in silver hair that spoke these words. It was a rich voice, a wise voice, a voice that he knew well yet he had never heard. A voice that had the power to make the sea come and go at its bidding.

One day he awoke from yet another dream. Thirsty and confused, Rone made his way into town. "A nice tankard of Ale should cheer me up," he thought to himself. But a message awaited him at the pub. "An old man, strangely clad is looking for you," said the barkeep with a concerned look. "He had silver hair and a silver beard, and we walked and talked as if the weight of the world were resting on him alone. He asked to speak to the son of Sir Gyrlon. When I asked him for a name, he just winked and said, 'my name is Natalph. But I doubt that you remember me. I made sure of that' and then he left!" These words troubled Rone much. "Who would want me?" he thought. "And where have I heard that name before?"
